Delete your data
How to delete the data the Last Known Position app has sent to us. There's no account, so nothing to close: everything is tied to a random install ID for your copy of the app.
In the app
- Open Last Known Position and open the menu.
- Tap Settings.
- Under Shared puzzle results, tap Delete my shared data, then Yes, delete.
This deletes it straight away, and the app tells you how many items were deleted.
By email
Email support@lastknownposition.app with the install ID shown at the bottom of Settings, and we'll delete your data within 30 days and reply when it's done. The install ID is the only way we can find your data, since we don't know who you are.
If you've already uninstalled the app, the install ID is gone with it. Your shared data then can't be found or linked to you, and it's deleted automatically anyway: detailed results after about 90 days, feedback within a year.
What's deleted
- Your shared puzzle results: moves, times, outcomes and the rest of each upload.
- Puzzle reports and feedback you sent from the app.
What's kept
- Crash reports aren't deleted on request; they're deleted automatically after about 30 days.
- Per-puzzle totals (such as a puzzle's solve rate) that your results were already combined into. These aren't linked to any install ID. Detailed results are combined this way and deleted after about 90 days in any case.
- Emails you sent us, for as long as needed to answer you. Ask in the same email if you want them deleted too.
On your phone
Your progress (ratings, history and review schedule) is stored only on your phone. Settings → Reset progress deletes it, and so does uninstalling the app.
